The Walser Foundation - Cars Driving Change

It’s a wonderful gift when life has come full circle and we can give back to someone who helped us along the way. We recently witnessed this at the MN Adult & Teen Challenge Gala during the car raffle giveaway provided by Walser Automotive Group.

The car giveaway is always one of the highlights of the evening and this year it was even more special. Walser Toyota Team Lead, Luke Nelson, who went through the MN Adult & Teen Challenge program himself announced the winner of the 2018 Nissan Rogue S. Such an inspiring moment to see the success of the program with a graduate giving back to the organization that helped him.

MN Adult & Teen Challenge’s mission is to assist teens and adults in gaining freedom from chemical addictions and other life controlling problems by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Quote from Luke Nelson: “It’s an honor and a privilege to be here and represent two organizations that have had such a positive impact on my life,” Nelson, a 2011 program graduate, said. “I’m so honored to work for an organization that gives to Teen Challenge, and I’m even more proud to be a graduate of the program.” Nelson has been with Walser nearly four years.

Walser commits 5 percent of all pre-tax earnings to the Walser Foundation, which funds hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants and sponsorships annually for our local communities.

The couple that won the vehicle raffle were visiting from out-of-state. They flew back to Minnesota to pick up their new Nissan Rogue from Walser Nissan Wayzata earlier this month.
